Just watched Jurassic Park III. On HBO.
There was a time when I could name all the dinosaurs in the first Jurassic Park movie.
Kids used to want to be Paleontologists. Or archaeologists. Or anthropologists.
And some girls wanted to be marine biologists.
They're all cliched ambitions, and kids used to love cliches.
When did kids trade their diplodocus for Pikachu? Archaeopteryx for Bulbasaurs?
Icythysosaurus for Psyduck?
I have a bag of fossils in my bedroom. Bought at an American museum. The best fossil is the teeth of a Megalodon - an ancient shark.
It's smooth and hard - and still sharp.
I wonder what happened to those interests of old?
