For some reason, some people are always in competition mode. Endlessly comparing, fighting other people and setting them up to fall so that they could win.
And that's the joke, at their expense. Win what? Muahahaha.
Any boost to the ego is temporary. Fleeting. Because the ego is a bottomless pit.
