In order to create, you always need to destroy something. Barring the few, if any, who could create something from nothing, all of us create something by destroying something else.
A sculptor destroys the form of a perfectly good piece of wood or marble or whatever to create a statue.
A painter destroys the blank canvas or the pristine roof of a chapel to create paintings and murals.
All destruction is, is change.
